Lobbying

Representing member’s interests in Parliament

At British Marine, we represent businesses of all sizes, from all corners of the industry. With a view to supporting their continued growth, our mission is to support our members through representing their wants and needs in government and with external stakeholders.

Our work involves creating and shaping policy and proposals, working with members, civil servants and other industry bodies, to help develop and deliver the appropriate regulations that support and benefit both our members and the industry. This work requires us to make lots of noise when needed– to ensure that both government and industry regulators sit up and take notice of our industry and its needs.

When one campaign ends, another begins and to continue this good work, we need the support and guidance from our members.

If you would like to get involved or need specialist advice from the team, please contact publicaffairs@britishmarine.co.uk.

Our specialist team are on hand to run through any regulatory/legislative changes with our members at any time.

We work hard to ensure that the best interests of our members are heard. We can build a case with our members to reflect potential government changes and when we need to, we can bring our industry together, adding weight to our lobbying efforts.

Network with regional and group associations to hear from other likeminded businesses who have used the service or use these sessions to work together collectively to create change.
